In 1933, canvas footwear pioneer BF Goodrich patented the Posture Foundation insole and began adding the new technology to the brand's tennis shoes. Goodrich shoes with Posture Foundation became known simply as 'P-F' in 1937. As the success of the sneakers with the Posture Foundation insole technology grew, it became the basis for the brand name: PF Flyers. Soon after, there was a collaboration between PF Flyers and pro athlete Bob Cousy, the famed Boston Celtics star, that catapulted both Cousy and PF Flyers to fame. Today, PF Flyers shoes are still popular, with its original synergy of good looks and active comfort stronger than ever.
