The roots of Underworld are planted in the early '80s
new wave explosion and came to life ten years later
as "one of the most crucial electronic acts of
the '90s" with numerous critical and commercial
successes.
Their singer Karl Hyde a loyal wearer of Adidas and
rarely seen without a pair of Superstars on his famous
feet. Adidas wanted to recognize the significance of
the shoe in dance culture by asking one of its most
iconic acts to interpret this iconic shoe. As part of
the design collective Tomato, Underworld have always
had a strong visual and musical identity which is reflected
in their interpretation of this design classic.
